Various volunteer organizations in Italy are maintaining essential community services throughout the August holiday period.

In Novara, the association Humanity reports that while volunteers continue to support families in need, the organization is facing a critical shortage of supplies. Currently, stocks are nearly exhausted, with only pasta and supplies for those with animals remaining available.

In Empoli, the Pubbliche Assistenze Riunite is ensuring continuous operations. Their emergency services, including 24-hour ambulance coverage and transport for dialysis patients, remain active. Additionally, the Lilith Women's Help Center will maintain 24-hour availability to support women and minors experiencing violence. The center has noted a significant increase in requests, with 211 new women seeking help between January 1 and July 31, 2026, compared to 286 total requests throughout 2025. Blood donation services also remain operational to meet ongoing needs.
