Volunteer support initiatives expand in Poland
The Volunteer Service System (SOW), a free nationwide internet platform created by the National Institute of Freedom under the Solidarity Corps program, provides digital tools for non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in Poland. The system allows organizations to recruit volunteers from a national database, manage applications, automate the generation of volunteer agreements and certificates, and coordinate tasks and team engagement.
In a related development regarding the European Solidarity Corps, the Robert Schuman Foundation is seeking mentors to assist 14 young European volunteers arriving in Warsaw and Wojkowice this September. Mentors will support volunteers with local integration, including navigating public transport, finding cultural events, and managing daily tasks such as medical appointments, to help them acclimate to the local community.
