Volvo Cars launches Google Gemini AI assistant in Turkey

Volvo Cars has begun a phased rollout of Google’s Gemini artificial‑intelligence assistant in Turkey. The update is being delivered to Volvo models that were sold from 2022 onward and carry the 2023‑model‑year Google built‑in platform. Gemini replaces fixed voice commands with natural‑language interaction, allowing drivers to ask for routes, locate restaurants, summarize messages, draft multilingual text and receive context‑aware media recommendations while keeping their eyes on the road.

The feature is part of Volvo’s remote‑software‑update strategy and follows an earlier U.S. launch announced for April 2026. Eligible models include a range of SUVs and sedans such as the C40, XC40, S60, V60, XC60, V90, S90, XC90, EX90 and others. Volvo emphasizes that Gemini’s conversational capabilities improve safety and convenience by reducing driver distraction and providing more intuitive assistance during navigation, communication and entertainment tasks.
