Vomero security dispute sparks political clash in Naples

A political dispute has emerged regarding public security in the Vomero district of Naples. Nasti has criticized the local administration, specifically targeting the president of the Municipality, Cozzolino, accusing her of using security concerns for propaganda rather than providing concrete solutions.

Cozzolino had proposed submitting a dossier to the Prefect regarding several “red zones” in Vomero and Rione Alto, including Piazza Vanvitelli, Parco Mascagna, and Piazza Muzii. In response, Nasti questioned the credibility of these requests, noting that the Municipality has allegedly left the Legality Council, presided over by a magistrate, inoperative.

Additional local issues cited include the lack of barriers to prevent unauthorized access by electric scooters in Parco Mascagna, illegal parking enforcement near the De Bustis market, and the failure to extend blue line parking hours despite repeated requests.
