Von Miller trades company equity for Dallas Cowboys No. 40 jersey

Dallas Cowboys edge rusher Von Miller has reached an agreement with fullback Hunter Luepke to switch jersey numbers. Miller will take over the No. 40 jersey, a number he previously wore at Texas A&M and with the Los Angeles Rams and Buffalo Bills. In exchange, Luepke will switch to No. 30.

The negotiation involved Miller’s poultry business, Greener Pastures Chicken. After an initial offer of free chicken for life was declined, Luepke successfully negotiated for an equity stake in the company. While the specific percentage of ownership was not disclosed, Miller confirmed that Luepke is now a business partner in the venture.
