Évora concludes BikÉvora 2026 with family cycling event
The BikÉvora 2026 program concluded with the Passeio da Família, a 10-kilometer low-intensity cycling route through the streets of Évora. Approximately 200 participants, including children, parents, and grandparents, took part in the event.
Organized by the Municipality of Évora in partnership with BTT Malagueira, the initiative aimed to promote sustainable mobility and demonstrate that bicycles are a viable way to experience and live in the city. Over the course of three weeks, the BikÉvora program featured various activities such as the Maratona Cycling, Rota dos Cromeleques, Gravel tours, Night Rides, and school-focused cycling initiatives.
Jerónimo José, the municipal councillor for sports, noted that the event's goal extends beyond sports promotion to encouraging the bicycle as a tool for social interaction and urban living.
