Évora to host 2nd National Meeting of Digital Missionaries in 2028

The Archdiocese of Évora has been selected to host the 2nd National Meeting of Digital Missionaries in 2028. The announcement was made during the inaugural meeting held in Alfândega da Fé on September 26.

The first edition of the event brought together digital missionaries, communicators, youth, families, and various representatives of the Catholic Church to discuss the challenges posed by the digital environment. The initiative aims to build a network between dioceses, parishes, and institutions to improve the Church's presence and communication on digital platforms.

Father Manuel Ribeiro, president of the Canon Manuel Joaquim Ochoa Foundation, described the first meeting as a positive step toward defining the Church's path in digital communication. He noted that the event successfully gathered diverse actors, including content producers, influencers, and members of the Holy See. The organizers intend to produce a document to guide the Catholic Church in Portugal regarding its digital engagement.
