Vorarlberg Firefighters Assist Sölden After Storm
Firefighters from Vorarlberg, including 17 personnel from the regional fire service and one from the LUF company fire brigade, completed a 32‑hour assistance operation in Sölden, Tyrol. The teams, supported by over 100 responders from Tyrol and additional volunteers, used three high‑capacity pumps to clear massive sludge deposits from the treatment plant’s basins after a severe storm.
Regional officials praised the effort: Landesfeuerwehrinspektor Herbert Österle highlighted the reliability of the volunteers, Bezirksvertreter Thomas Bargehr noted the successful use of the equipment, and Landeshauptmann Markus Wallner commended the professionalism and readiness of Vorarlberg’s fire services.
