A heat wave across Turkey is pushing temperatures above 40 °C in Southeast Anatolia, with Diyarbakır and Şanlıurfa forecast to reach that mark on 6‑7 August 2026. The Meteorology General Directorate has issued dust‑transport warnings for the eastern part of the region and strong wind alerts of 40‑60 km/h for the southwest of the Marmara region and the North Aegean.
