Vordingborg Mayor criticizes funding promise to Lolland

Vordingborg Mayor Michael Seiding Larsen has criticized Finance Minister Peter Hummelgaard for promising a significant portion of a special grant pool to Lolland Municipality during the Folkemøde Møn event.

Larsen argued that the Minister's pledge interferes with the ongoing allocation process and stated that promising funds to a single municipality at a public meeting is inappropriate. He emphasized that the distribution of the pool should be based on objective criteria rather than individual promises. Vordingborg Municipality has applied for 90 million DKK from the same pool, with the final distribution expected to be announced before September 1.
