Voter engagement initiatives focus on South Africa and United States

In South Africa, the #PledgeToVote campaign, an initiative of the Institute of Race Relations supported by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, is encouraging citizens to commit to voting in the 2026 Local Government Elections. The campaign uses a Voter Pledge to foster a sense of civic duty and accountability among voters.

In the United States, the nonpartisan nonprofit DJs at the Polls is deploying local DJs to various voting locations in Tarrant County, Texas. The initiative aims to create an energized atmosphere at polling sites, such as O. A. Peterson Elementary School and Sunset Valley Elementary School, to make the voting experience more enjoyable and encourage community participation.
