Voter registration deadlines approach in South Carolina and Georgia

Election officials in South Carolina and Georgia are providing guidance to voters ahead of upcoming elections.

In South Carolina, the State Election Commission has set October 4 as the deadline for voter registration for the November 3 statewide general election. Registration can be completed online, in person at county offices, or via mail and email. SEC Executive Director Conway Belangia advised voters to review their information to avoid delays, noting that registration must be received by 11:59 p.m. on the deadline date if submitted electronically.

In Georgia, the Secretary of State’s office offers online and mail-in registration options. For the upcoming elections, early voting is scheduled to run from October 13 through October 30. Georgia voters also have the option to use mail-in absentee ballots or vote in person at assigned polling locations on Election Day.
