VoteSafe.org collects personal data via Elon Musk’s America PAC

Elon Musk’s super PAC, America PAC, is funding and operating VoteSafe.org, a website designed to help Americans check their voter registration status. Investigations by Snopes and other reports indicate that the site collects extensive personal data, including full names, dates of birth, home addresses, email addresses, cell phone numbers, IP addresses, and device details.

While the site previously had a privacy policy stating that information would only be used to support America PAC and would not be shared with third parties, that language was removed in late August 2026. The updated policy allows America PAC to share or sell personal information with business partners for targeted marketing where permitted by law. One identified business partner is Western Creative Group, a company with no significant online presence.

This data collection model differs significantly from the official federal site, Vote.gov, which is managed by the Election Assistance Commission and collects no personally identifiable information.
