Voting incidents reported in Leskovac and Mladenovac during Serbian elections
Multiple incidents disrupted voting processes in Serbia. In Leskovac, at a polling station in the Centar local community, voting was interrupted after a member of the electoral board allegedly broke a ballot box and assaulted a student representative. Police and medical personnel attended the scene, and unofficial reports suggest voting at that location may need to be repeated.
In Mladenovac, Vladimir Dimitrijević, President of the Republic Electoral Commission (RIK), reported that unknown individuals entered a gerontological center and pressured voters, specifically targeting immobile residents. These individuals reportedly identified themselves as observers. While police were deployed to address the situation, the RIK noted that voting in other areas has largely continued despite minor irregularities handled by local boards.
