Votuporanga City Council approves visual health program and infrastructure requests
The Votuporanga City Council has been active with several legislative proposals aimed at improving local services and infrastructure. The council approved a substitute to Bill No. 152/2026, proposed by Councilman Marcão Braz, which establishes the Municipal Visual Health Program. This initiative will provide free prescription glasses to public school students and low-income residents identified through the federal CadÚnico registry.
Other legislative actions include requests for infrastructure and administrative improvements. Councilman Sargento Marcos Moreno has requested repairs for the CEM Prof. Benedito Israel Duarte, citing concerns over a deteriorating access roof and slippery walkways. Additionally, Councilman Engenheiro Glauber Lima has proposed that the municipal government study the creation of an attendance award to recognize punctual civil servants and reduce absenteeism within the public service.
