Votuporanga social services conduct outreach for vulnerable populations

The Municipal Secretariat of Human Rights in Votuporanga has conducted social outreach operations to support vulnerable populations. A recent task force focused on providing chemical dependency treatment referrals, institutional housing, health services, and document issuance. Individuals seeking treatment were directed to CAPS AD and the Novo Sinai Therapeutic Community, while others were referred to the Irmão de Emaús Assistential Community for food, hygiene, and social reintegration.

In a separate action following local complaints, the Secretariat and the Military Police located three pregnant women in the city center who had been approaching pedestrians to sell sweets. The women, identified as members of the Roma community from Santa Fé do Sul, received social assistance guidance and expressed their intention to return to their home municipality. These interventions were conducted following humanized guidelines to ensure the dignity and autonomy of the citizens involved.
