The digital marketplace Vou de Busão is expanding its services to facilitate the digital purchase of bus tickets across the nine states of Northeast Brazil. The initiative follows trends in digital adoption within the region.

According to data from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) via the 2025 Continuous National Household Sample Survey (PNAD Contínua), 88.5% of the population aged 10 and older in the Northeast states use the internet. This digital shift mirrors growth in other sectors, such as online banking, which is used by 74.2% of internet users, and e-commerce, which saw a 4.8 percentage point increase in Brazil compared to the previous year.

The platform allows passengers to research, compare, purchase, and manage bus tickets via mobile devices, reducing the need for physical travel to bus stations or in-person negotiations at ticket counters.
