Vox and Fundación Disenso to host right-wing summit in Chile

The Spanish political party Vox and its research center, Fundación Disenso, are organizing a right-wing summit in Santiago, Chile, scheduled for September 3. The event aims to consolidate a network of allied politicians across Latin America, including representatives from Chile, Honduras, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, and Peru, alongside Vox deputies from Madrid and Brussels.

Santiago Abascal, leader of Vox, will preside over the meeting. The summit is linked to the ‘Madrid Charter’, a manifesto signed by hundreds of parliamentarians globally. Notable international figures expected to attend include Kinga Gál of the Patriots group in the European Parliament and Barbara Kolm of the Austrian FPÖ.

While the Fundación Disenso views Chile as a political reference point for security and prosperity, the event has faced domestic scrutiny. In Chile, political organizations Renovación Nacional and Evópoli have expressed opposition to official government support for the gathering.
