Vox calls for military reinforcement and maritime control in Ceuta

The far‑right party Vox has filed a formal complaint against the Government delegate in Ceuta, Miguel Ángel Pérez Triano, before the National Court. The party demands urgent precautionary measures to guarantee public safety and border control after a recent migration surge. Vox requests that the Ministry of Defence reinforce the deployment of the Spanish Armed Forces in Ceuta and dispatch naval assets to the maritime perimeter around the Tarajal breakwater, under judicial supervision. The complaint also seeks the release of intelligence, National Security and Court of Auditors reports to assess whether authorities omitted duties that worsened the crisis.

Vox argues that the migration emergency was foreseeable, citing prior warnings about rising pressure on the enclave’s borders and insufficient resources. The party urges a judge to determine if officials failed to act according to legal obligations and to order corrective actions to protect residents and legal inhabitants of Ceuta.
