Vox criticizes Les Naus investigation in Alicante

The political party Vox has criticized the conclusion of the investigation commission regarding the Les Naus scandal in the Alicante City Council. The party claims the commission failed to meet its objectives due to a lack of documentation, limited investigative capacity, and the refusal of several officials to testify.

The commission was established to oversee and evaluate the municipal government's actions concerning protected housing. The scandal emerged following reports that several individuals, including former councilwoman Rocío Gómez, relatives of the former head of contracting María Pérez-Hickman, and various municipal technicians or PP officials, were among the recipients of the controversial residential project.

Vox representatives Carmen Robledillo and Óscar Castillo stated that the process was hindered by late or missing documentation and a refusal by the Deputy Secretary of the City Council to release certain emails. They argue that the investigation has closed leaving “more doubts” than answers regarding the administration's conduct.
