Vox demands written guarantees from PP in Andalusian coalition talks

Vox and the People's Party (PP) are negotiating a coalition government in Andalusia after the regional election. Vox’s spokesperson Manuel Gavira said the party wants written guarantees that any agreements reached will be implemented within a set timeframe. The party’s demands include a focus on national priorities, stricter immigration control, support for agriculture and tax cuts, and the possibility of holding a ministry or vice‑presidency in Juan ma Moreno’s administration.

The PP has offered Vox a parliamentary seat on the regional oversight board, but Vox rejected the offer, stating it seeks policies rather than positions. Negotiations are ongoing as the Andalusian parliament prepares to propose Moreno as president before 29 June; a failure to secure sufficient support could trigger new regional elections.

Both parties say the talks are proceeding cordially, though they acknowledge the Andalusian situation differs from other regions where the two parties have previously cooperated.
