Vox includes controversial figures in electoral lists

The Spanish political party Vox has included several controversial figures in its upcoming electoral lists. In Murcia, the party has named Aida Peñalver as a candidate for the Congress of Deputies. Peñalver, the current coordinator of the Vox parliamentary group in the Regional Assembly of Murcia, is under judicial investigation for alleged document forgery and identity theft. She is scheduled to testify before a judge in Cartagena regarding the unauthorized use of the digital signature of former regional leader José Ángel Antelo to facilitate his removal as parliamentary spokesperson.

In Tarragona, Vox has selected Jordi de la Fuente to lead its union-focused efforts. De la Fuente, a former leader of far-right organizations with ties to neo-fascist movements such as the Movimiento Social Republicano (MSR), represents a strategic attempt by the party to appeal to unionized workers and older demographics through a platform of national identity and social protectionism.
