Vox Leader Takes Casa Rosa as Andalusia Forms New PP‑Vox Government

The newly formed Andalusian coalition government of the People's Party (PP) and Vox, led by President Juanma Moreno, has placed Vox regional leader Manuel Gavira in charge of a new super‑ministry covering Tourism, Justice, deregulation and local administration. Gavira will work from the historic Casa Rosa in Seville, a former residence of ex‑presidents Manuel Chaves and José Antonio Griñán that has served various governmental functions since its acquisition in 1988.

The same cabinet reshuffle appointed historian Rafael Sánchez Saus as vice‑minister of Tourism, Justice, Deregulation and Local Administration. Sánchez Saus, a former Falange candidate and author, said he “can still admire Primo de Rivera but I am not a Falangist,” stressing that his past does not influence his current duties. The appointments mark the first Andalusian government to include Vox in senior executive roles, reshaping the region’s political landscape.
