Vox pushes for policy influence in Andalusia as coalition talks with PP continue

Vox is negotiating with the People’s Party (PP) to form a new Andalusian government after the regional election. Party spokesperson Paula Badanelli said the party will not demand specific ministries until its policy measures are agreed, but it wants to shape key areas such as agriculture, housing, fiscal policy and immigration. Badanelli highlighted the party’s priority for agriculture, calling for “more water, fewer restrictions,” while also stressing a broader transversal agenda.

The negotiations echo similar coalition agreements Vox has signed in other Spanish regions, including Extremadura, Aragon and Castile‑León, where the party secured ministries and committed to policy changes across energy, health, tax cuts and social services. In Andalusia, the exact timing of an investiture session is uncertain, with the regional parliament president suggesting a vote could occur in early July. Vox seeks to embed its platform in the forthcoming administration without necessarily holding a cabinet post.
