Judge Beatriz Biedma testifies regarding alleged judicial obstruction plot

Judge Beatriz Biedma has testified before the Audiencia Nacional regarding a campaign of alleged persecution. Biedma, who investigated the case involving David Sánchez, the brother of Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, reported feeling targeted by former judge Luis Sáenz de Tejada.

According to reports from the Civil Guard's Central Operative Unit (UCO), Sáenz de Tejada is allegedly linked to a plot to obstruct judicial proceedings affecting the PSOE government. Witness testimony from Cintia Rocho suggests that the 'Leire Díez plot' involved efforts to intimidate Biedma, with one witness claiming Sáenz de Tejada used aggressive language and suggested the judge should be 'eliminated.'

In a related legal development, David Sánchez has appealed his nine-year disqualification for administrative malfeasance, arguing that the investigation was biased due to his familial connection to the Prime Minister. Meanwhile, the political party Vox has requested that Pedro Sánchez and other high-ranking officials testify as witnesses in the investigation into these alleged maneuvers to influence judicial outcomes.
