Voxela completes Series A funding to automate nursing care with video AI
Voxela, Inc., a Silicon Valley-based AgeTech startup, has completed its Series A funding round, bringing its total funding to approximately 2.1 billion yen (about 13.2 million USD). The round was led by Delight Ventures, with new participation from SOMPO Growth Partners, Happiness Capital (Hong Kong), and Blue Heron Ventures (USA). Existing investors Archetype Ventures and ALL STAR SAAS FUND also continued their support.
The company provides ‘V-Care,’ an AI video platform that analyzes network camera footage to automate nursing care tasks such as recording, reporting, and management. Beyond simple detection of falls or movement, the technology aims to reduce the administrative burden on staff. Features include an ‘AI Automatic Accident Report’ that drafts reports within minutes of an incident and tools for incident analysis and night-shift assistance.
Voxela plans to use the capital to strengthen recruitment for AI and product development, expand its AI features, increase domestic adoption in Japan, and launch operations in the North American market.
