Voyo raises subscription price for Canal+ Sport, ending Premier League bundle

Starting 10 August 2026, the Slovak streaming service Voyo will move the Canal+ Sport 1‑8 channels, which carry the English Premier League and WTA tennis, into a new separate package. Subscribers who previously accessed these channels through the Voyo Maximum plan at €11.99 per month must now subscribe to the Voyo Maximum with Canal+ Sport bundle at €14.99 per month to retain uninterrupted sports coverage. The change represents a €3 (about 25%) monthly increase for sports fans and ends the previous all‑in‑one offering.

Voyo’s operator, Markíza, cited rising costs for premium sports broadcasting rights as the reason for the restructuring, noting that rights for top‑tier competitions are being sold for tens to hundreds of millions of euros annually, pressuring local platforms to adjust pricing.
