Vozinha debuts with clean sheet in Colo-Colo victory

Cape Verdean goalkeeper Vozinha, known for his standout performance in the 2026 World Cup, made his official debut for Colo-Colo in a 3-0 victory against Unión Española during the Copa Chile. Playing at the National Stadium before approximately 20,000 spectators, the 40-year-old veteran kept a clean sheet, securing Colo-Colo's position at the top of Group E.

Goals in the match were scored by Maximiliano Romero, Marcos Bolados, and 16-year-old Felipe Raipán. While the debut was successful, the club faces concerns regarding a knee injury sustained by Romero during the match. Vozinha noted that the delay in his debut was due to the need for physical preparation following the World Cup and previous documentation issues.

Colo-Colo now advances to the round of 16 to face Audax Italiano. The team continues to lead the domestic league with a significant margin over Universidad de Chile.
