Vozinha to join Chile's Colo Colo after World Cup showcase

Cape Verdean goalkeeper Josimar José Évora Dias, known as Vozinha, 40, has reached an agreement to transfer to Chilean club Colo Colo. The deal was announced by club president Aníbal Mosa on 24 July 2026. Vozinha, a free agent after leaving Portuguese second‑division side Chaves before the 2026 World Cup, will travel to Chile for medical examinations and then be presented at the Estadio Monumental. The club cited both his sporting merit – highlighted by a clean‑sheet draw against Spain and a strong performance against Argentina at the World Cup – and the marketing appeal of the signing. The transfer is still pending finalisation of the medicals and contract paperwork. Colo Colo currently lead the Chilean league table and view the signing as a boost both on the field and commercially.
