VPBank shifts toward diversified financial structure
VPBank has transitioned from a retail banking model heavily reliant on its parent company and FE Credit toward a broader financial structure. By 2026, new contributors such as VPBankS, OPES, and GPBank have begun generating significant revenue, while FE Credit has experienced a slower recovery.
Between late 2021 and September 2026, the bank's consolidated total assets grew approximately 2.7 times, exceeding 1.6 quadrillion VND. Individual credit outstanding reached approximately 1.1 quadrillion VND, marking a nearly 30% increase since the start of the year. Growth is currently driven by the corporate and SME segments, with lending expanding into industrial production, infrastructure, science, technology, and green finance.
In a notable move toward sustainable finance, the bank secured a 1.44 billion USD syndicated loan involving 15 international financial institutions. The terms of this loan are tied to specific environmental and social targets that the bank must meet over a three-year period to adjust lending conditions.
