VPN usage rises in Italy amid increased cybersecurity awareness

The use of Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) is seeing increased adoption across Italy, including regions like Sicily, as users seek to protect personal information during digital activities and travel. The rise in usage is driven by a growing need for cybersecurity, particularly when accessing public or unprotected networks for travel bookings and mobile services.

In the commercial sector, Surfshark is offering a promotional discount of 85% for new users. The deal provides 27 months of service (via a 24-month plan plus 3 additional months) for approximately 2.49 euros per month. The service features unlimited device connections, a global server network to bypass geographic restrictions, and a no-log policy to prevent user activity tracking.
