VQF adapts Swiss crypto compliance as Montezy GmbH joins organization
The Swiss self-regulatory organisation VQF is adapting its supervisory focus to address the growing complexities of the digital asset sector. While core anti-money laundering (AML) principles remain constant, the rise of crypto-related business models has necessitated specialized expertise in blockchain transaction monitoring, wallet ownership verification, sanctions screening, and the implementation of the Travel Rule.
In a related development, Montezy GmbH has established its Swiss AML compliance foundation by becoming a member of VQF. Recognized by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA), VQF membership subjects Montezy to ongoing oversight under the Swiss Anti-Money Laundering Act. The company stated that choosing a Swiss institutional base provides a defined framework of responsibilities as it develops its cross-border financial services.
