Vår Energi awards major contracts to Odfjell Drilling and Fulkrum

Vår Energi, Norway’s largest independent oil and gas operator on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, has awarded significant contracts to Odfjell Drilling and Fulkrum.

Odfjell Drilling received a Letter of Award for the use of the Deepsea Bergen rig. The contract is set to begin in early 2028 following the completion of the unit’s current obligations, extending its firm backlog until the first quarter of 2031. The estimated value of the award is USD 518 million, which includes mobilization fees but excludes performance bonuses, fuel incentives, and annual escalation.

Additionally, Fulkrum has been awarded a major inspection services contract to support Vår Energi’s project portfolio. This framework agreement focuses on quality assurance and operational integrity. Fulkrum is currently providing inspection and testing services for three subsea developments in the Gjøa area: Ophelia, Gjøa Nord, and Cerisa.
