Vraclav wins Village of the Year 2026 in Pardubice Region

Vraclav has been named the winner of the 30th annual Village of the Year 2026 regional round in the Pardubice Region. The municipality received the Golden Ribbon and a total financial reward of 2.25 million CZK, consisting of 1 million CZK from the Pardubice Region and 1.25 million CZK from the Ministry for Regional Development.

The jury recognized Vraclav for its long-term development, community involvement, care for historical heritage and landscape, and its active social and club life. The village also provides essential infrastructure, including a nursery, primary school, and social housing. Vraclav will now proceed to the national round of the competition.

Other notable awards in the region included: - The new Governor's Prize: Staré Ždánice (500,000 CZK). - White Ribbon (work with youth and families): Jeníkov. - Blue Ribbon (social life and innovation): Městečko Trnávka. - Orange Ribbon (cooperation with agriculture): Bohuňov. - Green Ribbon (environment and landscape): Biskupice.
