Mudri Brk Festival marks 5th edition in Jelsa, Hvar

The fifth‑anniversary Mudri Brk Festival took place in Jelsa on the island of Hvar from 29 July to 2 August. The five‑day programme combined independent music, visual art and film in a relaxed Mediterranean setting.

The opening event featured an exhibition titled “Rokumentacija” by photographer Zoran Trbović, showcasing the regional music scene of the 1980s. In the evening a screening of the film “Keltska utopija” was held at the Jelsa summer cinema, highlighting the rise of alternative folk and traditional Irish musicians.

Beach‑bar activities continued the festivities, with DJ Borovich and his son DJ Svemir curating nightly music selections. Tickets for the cinema and other events were sold on‑site for €6. The festival’s diverse venues—including galleries, a summer cinema, beach bars and hidden island spots—offered programmes for both adults and children.
