Vršič Pass introduces new parking and traffic arrangements

New traffic and parking arrangements have been implemented at the Vršič Pass following road reconstruction work. The Slovenia Infrastructure Directorate, in coordination with the municipalities of Kranjska Gora and Bovec, has introduced organized parking spaces to address previous congestion issues caused by construction delays.

The new facilities at the top of the pass include 80 spaces for passenger vehicles, three for persons with disabilities, 24 for motorcycles, two for buses, and eight short-term spots for stays up to 15 minutes. To assist drivers, real-time occupancy data will be displayed on traffic signage at the barriers on both the Kranjska Gora and Trenta sides.

Parking at the summit will remain free of charge until the end of the year. Due to environmental protection requirements, the total number of parking spaces is approximately two-thirds of what was available prior to the reconstruction.
