Vriendenkring takes lead in national billiards competition

The Vriendenkring billiards team has taken a significant lead in the national kader competition after a 9-0 victory against B.I.O.S. from Barnveld. This win places the Bergharen-based team at the top of the first pool 5 of class 5, holding a five-point advantage over B.I.O.S.

Individual performances included Stefan Hoen from Grave, who secured a win against Bert De Haas with high carambole series of 20, 51, and 54. Lyon Megens from Wijchen also delivered a dominant performance, winning his match in five turns with a single series of 109 caramboles, maintaining an average of 44.000. Other notable wins were recorded by Herold Slettelaar and Henk Bulte.

Vriendenkring is scheduled to play its third match against De Hazelaar from Rosmalen on Tuesday, September 22.
