Vrindavan construction accident kills three workers

Three workers were killed and one person was critically injured following a shuttering collapse at the under-construction Vrindavan Courtyard Mall in Rukmani Vihar, Uttar Pradesh. The accident occurred during night-time construction work on the second floor while workers were casting a roof and a chajja (overhang).

The sudden failure of the temporary support structure caused debris to fall, trapping four masons. Emergency teams, including the police and fire brigade, conducted rescue operations to extract the workers from the rubble. One worker died at the scene, while two others succumbed to their injuries at the hospital. The critically injured worker has been referred to SN Medical College in Agra for advanced treatment.

Local authorities, including Mathura SP City Rajeev Kumar Singh, are investigating the circumstances of the collapse. Families of the deceased have alleged negligence regarding safety standards and are demanding compensation. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed condolences to the families and instructed officials to ensure proper medical care for the survivor and provide necessary assistance to the bereaved.
