Vrisak festival features Oksana Zabužko and Enver Krivac
The Vrisak festival in Croatia features new literary presentations, including the appearance of Ukrainian author Oksana Zabužko. Zabužko will present a new Croatian edition of her seminal novel, ‘Field Research in Ukrainian Sexuality’, published by Fraktura. Originally released in 1996, the work is often described as a ‘bible of Ukrainian feminism’ and explores themes of identity, culture, and history.
Additionally, author Enver Krivac is presenting his new book, ‘Neka jedu kolaže’ (Let Them Eat Collages), at the festival. The work consists of poetic collages, aphorisms, and notes created by rearranging newspaper and magazine headlines from the 1980s, 1990s, and early 2000s. Krivac utilized archival materials, including issues of Start and Studio magazines, to create new linguistic and visual combinations.
