Värmdö residents raise safety concerns over overcrowded SL buses
Commuters in the Värmdö and Djurö regions of Sweden are raising concerns regarding safety and overcrowding on SL bus lines 433 and 434. Residents report that buses are frequently so full that children are forced to stand in the aisles during high-speed travel on motorways.
One parent has opted to change their child's living arrangements to minimize commuting between Djurö and Johanneshov due to these conditions. Concerns have been voiced regarding the lack of seating and the safety implications of standing in aisles while buses travel at high speeds. Some passengers have noted that the shortage of seats has worsened since the bus operator Nobina took over traffic in the Nacka and Värmdö areas in February 2025.
