Véronique Sanson resumes tour with concert at France's Palais Idéal du Facteur Cheval

The 77‑year‑old French singer Véronique Sanson was hospitalized in late May 2026 for an acute respiratory infection, forcing her to cancel a scheduled appearance at the Art Rock festival in Saint‑Brieuc and postpone other summer dates. After a month of recovery, she returned to the stage on 7 July 2026, performing at the historic Palais Idéal du Facteur Cheval in Hauterives, Drôme. She thanked fans on Instagram, describing the evening as “wonderful”.

The concert marked the official restart of her summer tour. Sanson is slated to play at the Festival Pause Guitare in Albi on 10 July, followed by performances at the Nuits du Sud in Vence (17 July), the Surgères Brass Festival (23 July) and the Théâtre Antique d'Orange (26 July), before continuing her nationwide schedule later in the year.
