VRT television schedule disrupted by strike

VRT television strike program schedule changes Thuis Blokken

A strike at the public broadcaster VRT has resulted in significant changes to the television programming schedule. On Monday, October 12, several popular programs will not air new episodes.

Daily soap opera ‘Thuis’ will be paused for the evening, though the missed episode will be compensated for later with a double broadcast. Similarly, ‘Blokken’ and ‘Dagelijkse Kost’ will be rescheduled for later double airings. Other programs, including ‘Dwars door de Pyreneeën’, ‘F*ck You, Flik’, and ‘De Poorten van Europa’, will be delayed by one week.

While ‘De Ideale Wereld’ will be canceled entirely for the day, the program ‘Switch’ will be moved forward to Sunday. During the strike period, VRT 1 and VRT CANVAS will primarily broadcast archive programs, news broadcasts will be shortened, and Ketnet will air pre-set programming.
