Várzea Grande allocates R$ 930,000 for cultural projects

The municipality of Várzea Grande has signed Cultural Execution Terms with 30 cultural agents through the ‘Circuito Cultural VG’ public notice. This initiative is funded by the federal government’s National Aldir Blanc Policy (PNAB).

Each of the 30 selected proponents will receive a single installment of R$ 31,000, totaling R$ 930,000 for the projects. Following the signing, documents will undergo processing by the Municipal Secretariat of Education, Culture, Sport, and Leisure (SMECEL). Funds are expected to be released within 30 days, provided all documentation is regularized.

Cultural Superintendent Luh Arruda noted that agents have up to one year to execute their projects and submit accountability reports. Additionally, there is a possibility to include eight more cultural workers due to remaining funds from the current and previous notices.
