Várzea Grande mayor secures health funding, infrastructure upgrades and land title deliveries
Mayor Flávia Moretti of Várzea Grande announced the delivery of 325 property titles to families in the Jardim Manaíra neighbourhood, part of a municipal programme aiming to regularise over 14,000 homes. The governor of Mato Grosso, Otaviano Pivetta, pledged to asphalt all streets in the area and to fast‑track the licensing of the project.
The municipality also received R$ 1.5 million in parliamentary amendments for health, with R$ 1 million earmarked for the renovation and expansion of the Água Vermelha basic health unit and R$ 500 000 for equipment at the Cristo Rei Polyclinic. In addition, the state launched the "Juntos pela Saúde Plena" programme, committing resources to strengthen primary health care, improve vaccination coverage, support maternal‑child care and upgrade health‑education infrastructure in Várzea Grande and Cuiabá.
These initiatives are intended to improve legal security for residents, expand public‑service capacity and stimulate local investment.
