Várzea Grande and Goiânia launch extensive road repair initiatives

The municipality of Várzea Grande began an emergency maintenance operation on Avenida Leôncio Lopes in the Primavera neighborhood, using its own funds to restore traffic safety and prevent further deterioration. The work follows a new extrajudicial notice to the contractor Terraplanagem Centro‑Oeste (TCO), who remains liable for the repairs under warranty.

Meanwhile, Goiânia's "Asfalto Novo" program has progressed to rehabilitate roughly 350 kilometres of streets across more than 60 neighborhoods, employing full‑depth reconstruction, base reinforcement, new asphalt surfacing and updated road markings. The city aims to reach 800 kilometres of upgraded roads, improving durability, safety and overall mobility for residents.
