Várzea Grande authorities detain drivers for impaired driving and traffic violations

The Municipal Guard of Várzea Grande has reported two separate incidents involving driving under the influence and various traffic violations.

In the first incident, a 34-year-old man crashed a Ford Courier into a residence in the Cristo Rei neighborhood. Authorities determined the driver was unlicensed and intoxicated, with a breathalyzer reading of 0.64 mg/L. The vehicle's registration was also expired. The driver was detained and exhibited aggressive behavior toward officers at the police station.

In a second incident, municipal officers intercepted a motorcycle performing dangerous maneuvers on Avenida Aleixo Ramos da Conceição. The 22-year-old driver was unlicensed and tested positive for alcohol with a reading of 0.49 mg/L. Additionally, the motorcycle was found to be using a license plate belonging to another vehicle. The 29-year-old passenger, identified as the vehicle owner, was also detained for allowing an impaired and unlicensed individual to operate the motorcycle.
