Várzea Grande CAPS AD III construction reaches 14% completion
Construction of the new headquarters for the Psychosocial Care Center for Alcohol and Drugs (CAPS AD III) in Várzea Grande has reached approximately 14% completion. The project, which began in May, has finished the foundation and base stages, and crews are currently working on raising the walls.
According to Amandda Lé, the superintendent of works for the Municipal Health Secretariat, the project is following the planned schedule. Future stages will include the construction of pillars, wall finishing, terrain regularization, floor execution, roofing, and electrical installations.
The new facility is intended to strengthen the municipality's mental health policy by providing specialized, humanized care for individuals with harmful alcohol and drug use. The center will offer 24-hour reception and dedicated spaces for multidisciplinary clinical follow-up, therapeutic activities, and social interaction.
