Várzea Grande advances infrastructure, budget, and public service projects
Várzea Grande Mayor Flávia Moretti is advancing several municipal initiatives involving infrastructure, budgeting, and public services. The administration has submitted the 2027 Annual Budget Law (LOA) and an updated Multi-Year Plan (PPA) to the City Council, with an estimated revenue of approximately R$ 2.35 billion. These documents include salary and career plans for municipal employees.
In terms of infrastructure, the mayor is seeking resources from the Mato Grosso government and the Intermunicipal Consortium to fund road resurfacing and pothole repairs. Additionally, efforts are underway to connect newly drilled wells to the electrical grid to expand the water supply. The administration is also constructing two new Social Assistance Reference Centers (CRAS) in Jardim Glória and São Mateus to improve social services for local families.
On the public health front, the Municipal Health Secretariat has launched a cleaning and sanitization campaign across the municipal health network, including emergency units and maternity wards. Meanwhile, the City Council recently approved four projects to update career and salary plans for various public servant categories, including health professionals and support staff.
