Várzea Grande expands primary healthcare and community services

Várzea Grande is expanding its primary healthcare services through community outreach and new equipment acquisitions. The 'Viva Seu Bairro' project recently held an event at the Ouro Verde neighborhood mini-stadium, providing medical consultations, blood pressure monitoring, vaccinations, and dental guidance to local residents.

Additionally, the municipal health department has joined the 'Juntos pela Saúde Plena' program. This initiative has provided the city with specialized equipment kits—including thermometers, oximeters, and stethoscopes—to support 'Consultório na Rua' (Street Clinic) and healthcare services within the prison system. These measures aim to strengthen the Unified Health System (SUS) by bringing essential care closer to vulnerable populations and improving the quality of local medical assistance.
