Várzea Grande draws over 3,000 visitors to its stand at FIT Pantanal 2026
Around 3,000 people visited Várzea Grande’s exhibition space on the first day of the International Tourism Fair (FIT Pantanal 2026) in Mato Grosso. The stand featured vibrant decorations, traditional music, local drinks and crafts, showcasing the city’s Rota do Peixe, historic net‑weavers of Limpo Grande and the work of 25 partner companies from the municipal Secretariat of Economic Development, Technology and Tourism.
Mayor Flávia Moretti praised the turnout, saying it demonstrated the city’s growing visibility and hospitality. Secretariat officials highlighted Várzea Grande’s cultural attractions, gastronomy and its role as the "gateway to tourism in Mato Grosso." Visitors—including politicians, entrepreneurs, tourists and foreign guests—expressed enthusiasm for the city’s offerings.
Local residents and visitors from nearby towns praised the stand’s creativity and the chance to learn about the city’s heritage, with many noting plans to explore Várzea Grande’s attractions after the fair.
